HARRISBURG – In her continuing effort to assist older constituents, Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin/Lebanon) is once again hosting her annual Senior Expo in northern Dauphin County.

The free event will take place on Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Halifax Area Ambulance and Rescue Association Building, 31 Bunker Hill Road in Halifax.

“Many programs and services are available to help seniors stay healthy, live in their own homes and plan for the future,” said Helm. “Our expo is designed to bring information about those programs and services together under one roof to make it easier for them to assess their options and make good decisions.”

Helm’s Senior Expo will feature exhibitors from nonprofit agencies; local, state and federal governments; and area businesses that will provide information on programs and services available to older Pennsylvanians on a wide range of topics, including health care, insurance, nutrition and exercise, financial planning, fraud protection, government, hunting and fishing, and personal safety.

In addition, a Prescription Drug Take-Back Program Drop-Off Box will be available to safely and properly dispose of any unused or expired medications. No “sharps,” please.

Refreshments and door prizes will also be offered. Winners of the door prizes must be present to win.

For more information, please call Helm’s Millersburg office at (717) 692-0833.
